Using a New Mouse Pointer

Follow these steps to begin using a 'new' cursor. 

Move Pointer to Cursor Directory.

Move the cursor to the windows directory, usually 'c:\windows\cursors'. The easiest way is to drag it from the current folder to the windows cursors folder using Windows Explorer.

Start Control Panel

Control Panel Double-click on Mouse
Double-click the Mouse Icon

Select the Pointer to be Changed

Select the Cursor to be Changed
In this example the Busy pointer is selected. Now click Browse.

Select Desired Pointer

Select the Pointer
Select the desired cursor then click 'Open'.

Click OK

Click OK to Use the New Pointer
The selected cursor is displayed.
You can save the Scheme using 'Save As...'
Click OK or Apply to make the chance effective.
