Saturday, April 29 - Amanda Addleman teaches piano to Ashley, my granddaughter. Amanda and bass player Ryan Lukas entertain at San Rafael Joes restaurant. So we went to there to hear them and to have a nice Italian style dinner. We were joined by the Altura family. Nine of us in all. The Altura kids are great friends of Ashley and Brady.

Thursday, April 27 - The Fossil Discovery Center of Madera County is popular with students. Dawn says there are as many as ten 2nd grader classes through the center every day. About 3,000 students per year. Most of the fossils were collected from a nearby pit. Click here for details.

Wednesday, April 26 - I am at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in Chowchilla for a few days. On pad 83, elevation 270 feet. I have stayed here a number of times before. $50 per night. It is an easy walk from the RV park to the Pheasant Run golf course.
Sunday, April 23 - I am at the Elks Lodge in Visalia for a few days. Elevation 280 feet. I stayed here last year. There are 16 RV sites - about 1/2 are not being used. Basically a parking lot but does have 50 amp power. And is only $20 per night. It is a very nice lodge - with a large bar and a number of ballrooms.
Wednesday, April 19 - I am at the A Country RV Park in Bakersfield, CA for a few days on pad 102. Elevation 396 feet. This park using the software I created for RV Parks - WebInACan. I have stayed here a number of times before.
Monday, April 17 - I am at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds RV Park for a few days in space 34. I have stayed here many times before. Coming west on I-10 was very, very slow. 10 and 20 miles per hour. The kids who attended the Coachella Festival must have all been leaving at the same time. I left at 11 am and did not get to Lancaster till about 6 pm. The coach's transmission still needs service. Jose Navarrete, P & V Diesel, added transmission fluid [$50] but it did not fix the issue.
Wednesday, April 12 - I am back at Rancho Casa Blanca for a few days. The coach's radiator was replaced by Beltran's Truck Repair. The transmission still needs to be serviced. Total cost of the radiator replacement was $6,459.70. Click here to view more service info.

Saturday, April 1 - I departed Rancho Casa Blanca and immediately noticed a major leak of transmission fluid. It was caused when the radiator failed and let water into the transmission. I made it 4 miles to Beltran's Truck Repair where a new radiator is being installed in the Patriot.
