|Saturday, August 18 - Each summer in mid-August
the Hendricksons have a family reunion. The event starts with a
blind auction. The money is used to pay for next year's reunion.
Larry is the auctioneer and does a great job. They raised over $1,000.
This is the third year that I have been invited to attend. I was
the winning bidder at $35 on what turned out to be a blanket and
gift card for $25 at Outback Steakhouse. After the auction we were
served a grilled flank steak with fixings - it was really good.

|Thursday, August 9 - Cheryl wanted to revisit the
Museum & Gift Shop. A couple years ago she bought some items
that she wanted to repurchase - so we did. Then we went to
Long Beach and
had clam chowder at the
Castaway Seafood Grill. We visited many of the gift shops including
Stormin Normans colorful kite shop. Cheryl bought a 'The Party is
Here' house flag. When we returned we noticed that Ron, Alex and
Dan had returned from fishing and had caught their limit of salmon.
They have been coming here for years to fish.
